X-fi Fatality connection to Z5500s

All, am looking to improve my connection between the x-fi fatal1ty soundcard and my Z5500s.

I am currently using the 3 jacks plugs for the 6 channel sound...but would like to move to a digital connection. How can I make the connection? My speakers can take it but the sound card doesn't have a digital out port?

The X-Fi has a SPDIF jack (the electrical kind, not optical), you might need some kind of bridge if your 5.1 system only takes an optical input.

Just remember that if you do use the SPDIF jack from the X-Fi you lose all your 2.0->5.1 CMSS-3D upmixing capabilities..since afaik the X-Fi can only upmix and output an upmixed CMSS-3D signal over analogue..
