    Etasis ET750 PSU

    Hi Folks,

I'm considering getting an Etasis ET750 PSU for my new Q6600 Quad build:

Does anyone have one of these, and if so what's it like (it got good reviews). Is it fairly quiet??

    Thanks!

Its a decent PSU, built a couple of systems with these PSU's and so far the customers are pleased. Used in a gaming rig I havent had ant bad feedback about noise under heavy load.

As an alternative I have started using the Silverstone OP series. Single 12 volt rail of 54 amps. Absolutely rock solid plus it has the 8 pin GPU connector which would provide you with some future proofing should you go with AMD or the next gen Nvidia.

The other unit to seriously consider
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/500w+%2B/PC+Power+%26+Cooling+SILENCER+750+QUAD+?productId=27379

PC Power&Cooling 750 watt Quad Silencer.
Quad PCi-E 8 pin connector for GPU. Quiet, Single rail 60 amps, more than enough to power anything you throw at it.

Either way whether it is the the Etasis or the 2 I have suggested you wont have a bad experience.

BTW I am not advocating Single rail vs Multiple rails, both do the job.

    Thanks Drat, much appreciated.

I was originally considering the Silverstone OP650, but Scan have the Etasis ET750 on Today Only for about the same price, so I figured both high quality, and an extra 100Watts thrown in for good measure.

I don't actually need anywhere that much power, probably only 300Watts (350 max), and mostly on the CPU line, but I'm a firm believer in not running a PSU at more than about 50% of it's rated power plus it gives room for expansion. If I'm spending £100 on a PSU I'd also like it to last 5 years, so I figure the Etasis excellent build quality (server grade) may just give it the edge over the Silverstone OP650 in terms of longevity.

    Thanks for the feedback
