you want something small in each corner to keep it just off the desk..should stop it humming
My case on its casters makes a lot less noise than on its rubber feet.
I keep mine under it, that way it only vibrates off the carpet ;)
Stop the vibrations in the first place? :)
Check that your hdd, DVD/CD etc. are all securely fastened.
My Chassis came with feet on the bottom with a large ring of rubber underneath to aid grip and also dampen vibrations.
A mate of mine uses beer mats, 2-3 under each leg of his PC to dampen the vibrations and noise.
As kalniel says find the cause of the vibration.
Mine(as in my system)is not a light weight and there is no vibration at all on my glass desk.
Get hold of some rubber matting and stick it under your pc. That'll cut down alot of noise and vibration
Rubber or cork (my fav) matting should help, just make sure that you don't block any air inlets/vents.
Cork floor tiles from any DIY store ;) easy to cut to shape aswell.
Although I like the beer mat sugestion, it appeals to my juryrig nature. :)
Cheers guys. Probably the Hard Drive causing the vibration.
cut 2 squash balls in half and place one half under each corner
or cushion the hdd's inside the case
I can give you the ultimate anti-vibration solution that I've used for years. Get hold of a gel wrist-rest, one of the 'squishier' ones if possible, and cut it into suitable sized pieces and sit the PC on them. Eliminates absolutely 100% of vibration guaranteed.
If it's hard drive vibration and they are screwed not screwless then some rubber washers should help ;)
Neoprene! :)
