    Angry X-Fi hiss

Thought i'd treat myself to a new soundcard. Got the Creative X-Fi Fatl1ty platinum edition as it stated it was Vista compatible. Well is it my arse!
All i get is whie noise, sometimes, othertimes it works but the sound fades in & out. I know the speakers are ok as they work with the on-boad sound when i re-enable it. What a coplete pile of crap tbh.

Use the latest drivers from creative's website (hint: pretend you're american, then you get up to date drivers), they fix a number of problems with all that hissing/skipping/crackling junk.

I can recommend the Auzentech X-Plosion if you decide to dump the X-Fi, like a lot of other people have

Did I mention that they are idiots and don't post the driver to all related products?
