The E4300 does cost around 15 quid more though!!

The Abit IB9 also has two IDE connectors on the motherboard which is useful since I assume both your drives are IDE??

Lucky my current drive is an early SATA drive but you have just reminded me - i need to buy a SATA DVD drive as well....

the sata DVD-RW's are just about the same price as the IDE ones.

I think you need to raise your budget to 350 quid unless you want to skimp on your PSU and case which is NOT a good idea!!

You should be able to include a SATA DVD drive and E4300 in that price or a SATA DVD drive and a good aftermarket CPU cooler if you want to do some overclocking!!

That was the review that swung it for me = after owning a shuttle for 4 years, i value the quiet now....

and also, it cheap as chips compared to a real case + decent power supply
