Well i dont have the loan arranged yet, im sort of waiting for...alot of thigns realy, mostly the amd quadcore tho. I just want to make sure not only i can run crysis at full but also that i have a pc that will last me more than a year, like my current one has, i always try to aim for that or its a bit pointless throwing money at something that will last a few months, like 8600 sli lol

A Q6600 and an 8800GTS will easily run everything this year and probably next year. Waiting for AMD vapour core is a bit silly tbh, they don't have anything that competes with Intel past the budget range, and their next chip could easily suck as much as ATi's 2900's.

    More I cannot say

Apart from, it's looking great, some really lovely things they are doing with it.

Ooooooo, sounds like they'll be released some badass drivers ay ay ay?

And yeah I second what Biscuit said, get rid of that PSU m0onKniGht - their prices don't tend to fall by much at all, so if you get a good one now you can re-use it in your Crysis rig.

If you worried about PC stuff being out of date soon after you buy it no one would ever buy anything.
its also easy to pick the most expensive stuff and claim its the best. Why pay £500 for an extra Ultra when drivers are rubbish for SLI do you think a second card is worth the extra it will give at this price?

Could you be any more vague, and misleading?.. Seriously, back up statements like that with facts or don't make them at all. Everything shows that ATi's cards suck as much now as they did in November, and their drivers will always be a puddle of piss on anything other than Windows.

Maybe if you need to render at 90000000x6000000 resolution :/

Not for one GPU, no. 500W would easily do it, 600W would give you a nice heap of headroom.

well id like to do SLI since in my ideal world 2 OCed 8800gts' would beat an ultra and cost the same XD but everyone says the drivers arent that great for vista :/

No not yet, they only got DX10 support with SLi on the last driver release, it's early days and not even worth worrying about at this point..

Ok going to push the boat out here and hope I don't get into too much trouble or black listed from thurver stuff. (yes I have played/tested it and I hope I can still do some more sessions in the future)

As of a few months back it's not a "Nvidia, the way it's ment to be played" game, they've been working with ATi and so far every time we've been let near it has been on ATi cards not nvidia.

Now I'm not saying nvidia card will not run it, just that if a developer has a working relation ship with ATi then you'll tend to get better performance out of ATi cards than on games where the developers have a working relation ship with Nvidia.
