    Cheap C2D overclockering motherbaord recommendations

Gimme links to moderately decent motherboards for for overclocking a E4300 to 3Ghz. Using PC5300 so should reach 9x333 without having to push the ram, with potential for a bit of further overclocking. I know the CPU is good for it so I need a motherboard that'll reach a minimum of 350FSB ideally.

Looking to spend £50 max, but would consider a few pounds more (absolute max of £60)

I have a Gigabyte DS3 and E6600 which I'm running at 360FSB with bios rev F7 (old now i know, but I'm happy with my clocks and it's stable!)

I've noticed some cheap gigabyte boards on Ebuyer with the 945 chipset? Can anyone tell me how these perform?

yes, it's that place but you could always rely on eVGA for CS if you need it.
SCAN do it & the XFX (same board different badge) for a bit more but then you have free shipping ...

abit IP35 is £66 at SCAN & if you wait for Today Only! it'll probably come down to ~£61

That looks like a very promising buy there BUFF based on the Anandtech review

Many thanks for the heads up...and for those interested here's the link to the XFX version on Scan:

i would stick with the 965 chipset. Gigabyte and Foxconn have some decent ~£60 options on scan which should meet your needs:-

has a hexus review doing 360fsb and stable. Gigabyte DS3 is a safe choice as well imo for that system.

As you already have one and like it, I'd get another if I were you. It's a great board and good value at that price

    Hmmm E4300 / 2Gb DDR2 / Gigabyte DS3 for £153 all in, plus sell value for DFI Ultra-D (£35?) / 2x 1Gb sticks of DDR400 (£45 for both?) and Athlon 3000 (£15?)

Could get the upgrade for about £58 if I get those prices, this is for a second system...reckon it's worth it?

The GiGABYTE 945P board is not so good for E4300. Max is about 2.7GHz. A 650i board is a much better choice.
