    Question HP 6715B laptop

    Hmm not 100% if this is the right place to post, but portables sounds about right!

    I'm looking for a laptop to take away to uni, something pretty fast-ish and relatively big HDD. I found this HP system, just wondered if anyone knows if its any good...or any alternatives

    ps. Budget is around the £500 mark. HP spec as follows;

    £500 is perhaps a little too much for that system but its quite good.

    You could get the new dell vostro 1500 with the following specs.

    Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6 ( equivalent to if not better than the amd)
    2 GB of RAM
    15.4" Widescreen Glossy (1280 x 800)
    Geforce 8400GS (dedicated graphics)
    Wireless
    1 year warranty
    6 or 9 cell battery

    All the usual extras

    OS is vista business or ultimate though.

    This on the net comes to £515 but im sure if you called you would get £50 off that price.

    You would be able to play some games on this if that appeals.. Like half life 2 (Counterstrike)
