    • James Thorburn's system
      • Motherboard:
      • ASUS P5K Deluxe
      • CPU:
      • Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 3.4GHz
      • Memory:
      • 2GB DDR2-800
      • Storage:
      • 74GB Raptor, 320GB Barracuda 7200.10
      • Graphics card(s):
      • NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX
      • PSU:
      • Tagan 520w
      • Case:
      • Customised Silverstone case
      • Monitor(s):
      • Dell 2407WFP
    LGA775 is single socket only.

    You could however buy a pair of Xeon 53xx series chips and a workstation motherboard, as these chips are Clovertown - the LGA771 (2 socket) equivilant of Kentsfield.

    If you go this route it requires FB-DIMMs, not standard DDR2 or DDR3.
