Laptop Power Bricks - Question

Friend of mine needs a new power brick, current one is a dud.

All the official ones are sitting around the £45 mark but this one on eBay is £20.

Now I know it will be a cheaper 3rd party equivalent but has anyone has any experience with 3rd party laptop power supplies? Can they be that badly made?

if you want to keep a warrenty - use official products. When ever the laptop goes back for repair they ask for the power adapter too, thats the reason they look for reasons to potentially void the warrenty for unsupported use.

always better off trying to get the original charger, from personal exp being a laptop tech, seem those all in 1 chargers take out a laptop when they go bad.
