On second thought, I think I will pass on the Logitech G9. Hadnt seen any pics until now. Eww, it looks nasty! What have they created?!? The new G15 looks nice though if you have a small desk that cant fit the full G15

Their selling point was that you can change the grip on it.... ROFL

I assume that's a good thing, as the number of decent mice suitable for both right and lefties is roughly 0. Having not read a review I might be well off track here though, and they could just be a there so you can change the colours or something stupid.

From the weird pics I've seen it looks like it just changes the end shape slightly, it doesn't look like it makes it lefty friendly.

Jeeze, what's with Logitech and the retro 80's fugly designs these days? If it was any more plug it'd have fake woodpanel effect on it and some nasty chrome.

Back in university a few decades ago we used to play on a VAX220 mainframe with dozens of terminals sprinkled around campus. Whenever we needed multiple logons we'd just grab the keyboard from the adjoining terminal and have multiple-screens and multiple keyboards per user.

Using my full-size G15 is just like the old days. Small desk? Buy a bigger one. Keep the battlestar galactica keyboard.

And for my money LCDStudio is brilliant, if you've the resources to handle it.

There's an applet for the game X3-Reunion for the G15 as well, in case anyone plays it.

(Having such a good experience with the keyboard led me to Logitech's Z-5500 speaker system. Massive. Hope they enjoy my money.)

I think I should be a Logitech rep because of the amount of Logitech stuff I have got!

    Logitech G5
    2x Logitech MX1000
    Logitech Microphone
    Logitech Z-5500
    Logitech G15
About 5 old Logitech ball and optical mice

Absolutely love them all. Use the mx1000 for internet surfing. G5 for gaming. The Z5500 are absolutely mind blowing! And just got the G15 and loving the macros and messing about with the lcd

EDIT: Here is my current config just using Everest's inbult support for the G15:

A problem with the early G15 keyboards was the paint finish wearing off the keys. The early keyboards had a rubberized black finish. Later keyboards which have harder wearing keys didn't have this rubberized finish.

New G9 looks terrible. Revised the G5 is OK with an extra thumb button but the electric blue paint job is uncool.

G15 has lost a whole load of macro buttons! CAD users aren't going to be very happy with this compare to the older model.

I'm going to wait until they bring out wood effect and chrome before I make an official complaint.
