What make of PSU would you Recommend for £50-£100

I am looking to get me a decent PSU this time as it is not worth buying a cheap and nasty PSU like i did in the past as they are more trouble than its worth! Like i found out with a q-tec psu

I've asked a few mates and looked at some review and now would like to ask you expert on Hexus who always seem to help make my life allot easyer

So what PSU would you recommend for £50-£100?
Make I've been recommend so far
Enermax and Antec.

Must admit i do like the Enermax PSU's as they have detachable power cables.

the corsair PSU's generally get very good reviews, i just shelled out for the 620w version

Another thumbs up for the Corsair 620w modular from me, got mine last week and it's a really well built unit thats a dream to work with. Even comes with a little bag to keep the extra cables in!

Enermax is the connoisseurs choice

Thats called modular. All the top brands have modular variants out these days.

Corsair are built by Seasonic. They are excellent too.

Enermax or Corsair either one will do. The 520 watt Corsair would do the job with your current specs, even if you went to an 8800GTS it would still be fine.

Enermax vs Antec - I would choose Enermax everytime.

Other good makes include FSP/Fortron, Seasonic, Silverstone, Corsair (but you have to return to the USA if it fails after year 1?), some recommend Tagan as well.

Not trying to hijack, but is there any reason no one recommends Tagan these days? A while ago they were one of the best...

Just haven't seen them mentioned around thats all...

Fun and games with them dying late last year. Not to the degree of the Hipers, but still a rather troubled patch. Seems to have put quite a few off.

All 3 of my Tagans are working fine, 2 are 2-3 years old.

Corsair are awesome. I know people say Seasonic make the Corsair ones but i have had both and the Corsair is by far the quietest.

Regarding the Tagans, I had one and the build quality was really poor, and it failed after a couple of weeks. The design was also very poor.

I've been using a 400W HiperPower for about 3years now. Not to say they're great, but I can't say i've ever had any branded PSU die. Though i'm sure the popular manufacturers mentioned here probably are better on average .

Do Tagan psus still run a bit hot? I remember reading that in a review a year or two ago.
