Which path on upgrade

Current system is a Shuttle SN95G5 based rig with a AMD X2 4400, 2gig ram, ATI X800XT PE AGP

Now do i keep the 939 chip and go with the shuttle SN26P or do i go AM2 with the SN27P.

Both require me to by a new vid card and Ram ( i think, but looking at the specs the SN26 uses DDR not DDR II or DDR III ) but one allows me to move the chip over ( ram too i think ) and put the old chip it replaced back in the working rig ( and thus gain me a rig to keep in back up )

Both are going to cost a fair ammount but one more then the other as it will require a new cpu.

I'd go for am2 - it will be more upgradeable in future, including amds quad cores when they come out - I think.
