    Cool and really quiet case

I was certain that I was going for the Antec 900 case as it seems to have a good spread of features. however, I keep on reading various reviews that throw up other ideas that are apparently equally good. So basically if anybody has any experience with, or knowledge of any of these cases it would be much appreciated. Or any other cases that I should consider.

Scythe/XCLIO A380 (not convinced by the very blue LEDs and the possibly loud fan noise - have seen massively different estimates of its noise from 25db to 37db even on the quietest mode)

Antec 900 (not sure about the dust or noise levels - other than that it is quite quiet)

Enermax Chakra (but I cant find the version with the 25cm fan fitted to the side)

Gigabyte Triton GZ-XX1CA (looks nice but not sure about its cooling or any other reviews)

Mainly I was a spacious case, with good cooling (for hard drives (6/7 of them) and a CPU) and to be as quiet as possible. Im choosing quiet components as much as possible so should ideally keep the case quiet too, at the moment my 750W Xclio X12S4P4 is my loudest component.

    Thanks very much

I can't speak for the others, but I've had an Antec 900 for 3 months and it's quieter (and less annoying) than the Centurion 5 I had before that, and the constant clean flow of air seems to disallow dust to easily settle.

I'd love to get a case like that Enermax one but I highly doubt that my Zalman 9700 would fit with that fan on the inside. Looks like that 250mm fan comes into the case a good inch and a half...

I honestly haven't seen anything that compares to the Antec 900 if you're running on air mainly due to the fact that it has such a huge top fan which as we all know, heat rises and can get trapped in the top of your case easily.

I'm itching on getting a new case with a top fan and two 120mm fans (front and back) idk 'bout you but thats my only requirements in looking for a new case

The Antec P180/P182 is supposed to be very well regarded for quietness - I'm planning on getting one.

P182 is fantastic for cooling and near silent operation with the stock fans.

I dunno about dust as i only installed it 10 days ago but the 900 is UNBELIEVABLY quiet.
Have all the fans set on low and you cant hear a thing. The temps on my mobo never go above 29 degrees even when its hot weather.

I'm upgrading and rebuilding all the time. I focus on noise and performance equally, unfortunately, they dont natively go hand in hand. The ONLY case i would consider is the P182. From experience, and *almost* open ended budgets, the P182 is awesome for cooling and therefore keeping things quiet. The P900 is not a quiet case, no matter what is said. Unless obviously you have the bare minimum of components and don't need the best cooling available for low-mid range components and/or not overclocked, But then any case would do.............

I must stress the P182 has its drawbacks, if you go that route, ill be happy to elaborate.

Hexus did a review on the Trion 180.

The Triton 180 also received Editors choice (MicroMart) Issue 957, June edition.

I don't personally like the look of the Antec 900.
Although, Antec do make nice cases.

Don't get a A380 its fun for a while but there is far better out there. The 250mm fans will be the loudest things on the system. Plus all the noise from the pc components comes out as there is a big hole in the side.

Ok, thanks for the opinions. I think Ill go back to getting the Antec 900 as it has good cooling and when hidden under a desk it shouldnt look too strange.
