IS there anyway of checking make/model/speed of your RAM without taking the lid of the machine?

cpuid does the memory speed and model and manufacturer provided this is programmed into the SPD chip info
CPU-Z does the same; make, model and SPD table.
When you start your PC
1)Check the Bios settings whether your Ram configuration is displayed properly.In most cases it is.If not
2)Check your boot screen,here the probablities are more.If no thyen
3)Go in for a third party tool that would enable you to check your ram configurations correctly.
