    RAM upgrade

I want to upgarde RAM form 1gb to 2gb. I have 2x512 blocks and wanted to fit another 2x512mb blocks. The problem is it is showing as PC2-4300 (266mhz) Spektek & I cannot find anything to match. Is this becuase I was supplied with very poor & cheap memory? I am quite disappointed as I spent a lot of cash on a fairly high-spec machine. I cannot even buy the same memory from the pc supplier. All advise very welcome.

research your motherboard specs using CPU-Z

Google the motherboard model # to determine what kind of ram you can use.

I bought it from MESH. I think they skimped onsome key aspects, I would happily have paid the extra for decent RAM. I have not been impressed at all really, but this is probably not the place to go into detail.

Probably best off seeing what they have to say about it first.

You are better off ditching the existing RAM and buying yourself a 2x1GB kit, which are available now for lovely cheapingtons.
