    Help with RAM choice

Cant decide on RAM for an Asus P5K Deluxe & E6850 based system.

I have it narrowed down to the following RAM as I can get them cheap

    4GB Ballistix Tracer DDR2 PC2-8500 5-5-5-15

    or

    4GB OCZ DDR2 PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 4-4-4-15 LINK

    all advice is welcome

Id go with the ballistix is very good RAM.

The OCZ is slower but has tighter timings.. I doubt you would see much difference between the two.

Another for the Ballistix, much easier/quicker RMA if it goes wrong.

I don't think you will overclock passed either of their stock speeds but the ballstix will be better as it pc8500 not pc8000 like the ocz

Agreed - with Crucial's excellent warranty, I'd need a very good reason to even consider anything else.

Yep, Ballistix, especially if you like messing about with the timings, etc...

They certainly are, Crucial are owned by Micron too, so seems they have the very best D9s in the PC8500 What have you ordered?
