RS485 Serial Controller card

Hi All

Hoping someone can help, does anyone know if a RS485 PCI Serial IO card exists? I have a problem with a control system, that runs on RS485, and would like to take it directly into the PC.

Anyone know if they exist? where to get them from? Windows XP compatible PCI card.

The system I have now has a powered RS232 to RS485 converter unit, and I am getting a problem with the transmission, I'm not sure if its the PC or the converter, its a bit long to go into but a direct connection would prove a few things!

Does it need to be PCI? You can get lots of serial or USB ones....

It does need to be PCI really.

The system does not work well with a USB converter, and it currently has a powered, 4 wire full duplex RS485 to RS232 converter which I think is suspect, wanted to install a card directly in the PC.
