    What RAM do I need?

Ok, this is just to double check I'm right, last thing I want to do is buy RAM that I can't use.
(Ok my CPU-Z image won't work - what it says is Max Bandwidth: PC3200 (200Mhz)
So from what this tells me I'm guessing I need pc3200 DDRAM, so could anyone confirm this and perhaps give me a link to 1GB pc3200 DDRAM that would work well on my computer? (must be able to deliver to UK)

    Module Size: 256Mb
    Max Bandwidth: PC3200 (200Mhz)
    Manufacturer: Siemens AG

I think most ddr400(pc3200) 184pin non-ecc unbuffered ones will do, but maybe you should post your motherboard make/model name here just to be sure. Also most well known memory companies have thier own online memory advisor thingy so you can use that to check which sticks are actually compatible with your motherboard.

I have just checked your motherboard model number at corsair website and got this result.
    http://www.corsairmemory.com/configu...s.aspx?id=3590

So if you want single 1G stick, this one will do.
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...7457(currently sold out)

If you want 2x 512MB then this one.
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=237278

If you want 2G kit(2x 1G) then get this.

Re: What RAM do I need?

So from the link u gave me notsobig it pretty much says max RAM will be 2 x 1GB stick (2 GB DDRAM PC 3200). So if i bought 2gb ram it would be ok to completely remove current RAM and replce with 2 x 1GB sticks and the computer will automatically detect ram?

Re: What RAM do I need?

Your motherboard has 4 slots therfore will take 4 sticks of RAM up to a maximum of 4GB.

You don't neccessarily have to take out your existing RAM if you have two free slots. If compatability proves to be a problem then yes just run with your new sticks.

The amount of RAM you put in your system will be automatically detected.

You generally run RAM in pairs then your system can run dual channel which is faster and also automatically detected.

Yes, he is right. Don't worry, you don't have to change any setting most of the time you just install new rams and your motherboard will pick them up and off you go. (If you have ram timing settings just set them to "auto" ).
