    Asetek Vapochill XEII and 8800gts

hi all well my new Asetek Vapochill XEII is in the post and i should have it by tuesday. It comes with a clamshell for a 775 socket.

I have a gigabyte DS3 board and a q6600 chip waiting to be clocked to death! I was thinking about using the Asetek Vapochill XEII to cool the EVGA 8800GTS i have to. What would i need to do this? I have never had this type of system before, infact i have only ever had water cooling so it is a bit of a leap for me!!!

any tips for the first timer?

iirc the XEII is only constructed with a CPU evap, so you wouldn't be able to cool the GPU on phase also, unless you got a new unit

Vapochills are all CPU only. Ive never seen or heard of any Vapochill models that cool anyhting but the CPU.

Watercooling is the way to go if you're talking about including other components.

Re: Asetek Vapochill XEII and 8800gts

Vapochill's are made for cpu's only but people have been know to have a 2nd unit in there for gpu cooling which is a bit extreme as ice builds up really fast on gfx cards

Well Colossus has got a Thermaltake HR03 on a 8800gts
    see here http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=115383

Don't know what it's like for cooling or where to get one but that's a monster of a cooler.
