just tinkering with my q6600 and got it setup at 7x420 (2940mhz)
i just opened up super pi, now i still got a few things running in the background but it did a score of 17,896 on 1m.
is that good?
my 2140 at 3.2ghz only managed 22s i think

I get 14s on 1m at 378x9, why dont you try for 3.2ghz (400x8) if your cooling can take it.
Memory is also oc to 1134mhz so that could help a tad.
daza how did u overclock your memory?
also i get 17 secs and im on 333x9
Memory is overclocked as im using a divider which is set in the bios.
But if you were using a 1:1 divider with PC6400 ram the memory would start to overclock as soon as you went over a 400fsb.
that would mean that 400x9 = 3600Mhz..
thats tooo fast for a quad core that is only air cooled
how about if i was to set the multiplier at say 8 or 7?
whats ur current situation
Yeh you can take the multi down a peg so if 9x400 (3.6) is to much how about 8x400 (3.2) or 7x400 (2.8).
At the end of the day it about the voltage your using which is the deciding factor, Im using water so temps are'nt to much of a problem but as long as you stay under 80c (ish) for load you should be fine.
And 3.6 isnt fast how about 4.0ghz on AIR (yes its a G0 guys).
hmm whilst clunk getting 12.7 seconds is very good, but also annoys me at my measley 17...
i heard super pi doesnt really utilise all the cores when working out pi to a million digits..
Im pretty sure super pi is single threaded to the max.
