I have them and there really nice, don't be fooled by the lack of wattage. :)
I always fancied these:-
Creative 3330 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=579446
But in the end I went for these logitec

I got them with a gift voucher from a local store, the creative's were not available.
I am happy with the quality, but I have never watched a movie with them, trailers sound good. Sound is balanced accross the range for most, however I have found the bass a little too much on some occasions.
Acoustic Energy Aego M Black 2.1 Speakers
These are very highly rated...any experiences???
5 Star award...what hifi 2006
Is there a reason you only want 2.1? For £100 you could get a 5.1 system easily. I personally bought a £50 5.1 system a couple of years back and love them. Optical input, digital coaxial, DTS and Dolby digital decoder. I have it connected to DVD player, TV, XBOX, PS2 and PC, and love it!
I have the Acoustic Energy Aego's and they are the best £90 I have ever spent. Easily up there with £200+ systems, heavy, heavy set of speakers which is always a good thing. If you buy them you will not be disappointed.
how about the Harmon kardon soundsticks II. They look a bit poncey but apparently sound nice. £99

I've got some Logitech Z4 in white, nice bass and lovely sound from it to
i had them and i hated every second of it, completely void of mid-frequencies and the cut off for the sub is quite high. I am a bit obsessed with sound quality though so i get picky!
I say go for the altec lansing, very very accurate speakers for the money, often compared to Boss systems!
The Altec Lansings have had some very good reviews.
which model Altec Lansings ????
bose Companion 5 I thought were good, however could'nt find a 5 star review + they are pricey!!!
So now is crunch time!!!!
Altec Lansing or Acoustic Energy Aego's

Altec Lansing Black MX5021 at that price point.
Altec Lansing Black MX5021 are THX certified. £96.47 at Scan.
