Not read much about it but i seem to remember someone saying it was not as quiet as it may suggest..far from silent at any rate.
I personally use the Antec model with my laptop, two speeds and works well, not only that but it makes a really comfortable typing angle too.
Cheap I think although unfortunately Scan don't sell it.

mine overheats sometimes when im playing games on it or leaving it on all day.. the laptop would sometimes shut down itself due to overheating issues with it. what do you guys think of this one from ebuyer? http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...ing=&offset=10
Your screen gets that hot that it needs cooling? Wow! Maybe the screen is faulty?
On a serious note, do you use the laptop on a desk? Check the fan as a laptop really shouldn't need additional cooling (in this country anyway). Not sure I'd want something with extra fans but it maybe the only way to go.
yes i use it on a desk and it gets pretyy hot after an hour of continues use
I'm in the same boat with an overheating laptop at the moment. Took it apart and everything seems fine, fan works. I think it is due to the fact that mine is about 4+ years old and is fitted with a desktop processor. At the moment I just live with it and do my work on my desktop. Essentially I turned my laptop into a think client. Everything I do on it is remote connected to my desktop so that if it shuts down, I don't lose any work.
Hi! Have you got a good Thermal paste? Makes one hell of a difference i found! My acer was over heating loads, changed the paste for a decent metal based one and its amazing now![]()
May have to look into that.
