Ouch haha speakers can be a lot more expensive to what im used to :S. Would you say the speakers come before the soundcard?

I have a P35 and the sound is great through my 5.1 speakers. If you dont plan on buying good speakers then you wont notice the difference you would get from a good soundcard anyway. If you need to save money then the soundcard can go IMO - you can always add one later if you really arent satisfied with the onboard sound.
Well i would have thought the onboard sound would be fine and if ur not a massive music and film person then its not that importaint to have amazing speakers then something like this would probs do fine. I was just giving my personal opinion.
Sorry i get carried away
Haha not at all! I do listen to a lot of music and a watch the odd dvd on my pc (im actually watching one right now) but having superb sound isn't my number 1 priority.
Basically what i've learnt from this thread is to
1.change my mobo
2. change my ram
3. ditch my soundcard
4. get those speakers you've pointed out
5. change my cpu fan
haaha and i thought i was nearly on track to getting this comp setup!
Those Logitech speakers are the best bang for buck you can get.
ye totally agree
them logitech x-230's are absolutely amazing for the price. i got them at 25 inc delivery from ebuyer.
P35 is the chipset model

Thats a list of the various boards using this chipset. Most peole advise going for the Abit or Asus but iv had some good experiences with Gigabyte aswell!
Cheers. This is a bit messy but how does it sound?

Sorry to sound completely uesless, but whats a 2.1 setup?
yeah looks pretty spot on, will you be overclocking? if not grab the E6750, cheaper and faster
620w is a little overkill, the 520w model would be fine. If you plan on upgrading much then stick with the 620w.
As for mobo Abit ip35, asus p5k or gigabye p35-ds3. Look above for the link to the mobos
2.1 is 2 sattelites(speakers) and the .1 bit is the subwoofer
Cheers man. I actually meant to put the 520w down, i just accidently copied and pasted that from a different topic. I heard that the Q6600 will be a lot more useful in the future, i originally had the E670 written down, like last week, cause i heard about its o/c'in but i was torn between the Q6600 and it and chose the Q6600. Is o/c'n the Q6600 difficult?
Alright! Cool cool! So you think that looks about right? That monitor i mentioned, its a cheap Phillips, 110 quid. Think its worth buying? Heres the link;

I know its no prize pony. What do you think?
Also how do i give you a 'thanks' has it written under your name "Thanks: 13" you've helped me out so much!

On paper that monitor looks ok but i would have a browse and see if you can find any trusted reviews or put a post up on the graphics cards and monitor forum see what people have to say.
Blue button to the bottom right of the post is for thanks, quite pm, reply etc
Cheers
