I really like this hardware forum for technical information, but it seems to be swamped with so much stuff about graphics and game performance.

How many people on here are enthusiast gamers and how many are just a general PC enthusiast?

However, although I use it for all-sorts, games is what stresses my PCs the most.

Mainly bought my current rig as something to do this year which im on my placement. Mostly by fun i mean play games but i enjoyed building it and I use it for programming, the odd bit of design work, video encoding and the usual surfing etc..

I was in dire need or a new pc as i hadn't had one for around 6 years apart from my now 3 year old laptop.

When I do play games though I want them to run perfectly and although I only play a few hours a week its enjoyable when I do.

Must admit that while I do use my PC for other things these days I spend most of my time gameing.

I only really got into computer games, because of insomnia. If there's a choice of games or going out then games always lose, but if you're sleeping less than 15 hours a week like me, games are far better than late night telly.

I used to play games every day all day but now, I really don't. Don't know why but these days I have a really small attention span for games - and its annoying that I can't run them as nicely as I used to because my PC is now getting soooooooo old.

I tend to play in chunks - that's to say, every few weeks or so I'll have a run on a particular game for several days running - then I'll just get bored of it and won't play any games and so on and so forth. That said, when I spec a new PC I do try to get it as powerful as possible with a view to playing games.

After quitting world or crackcraft the amount of time spent gaming has reduced dramatically. Infact I think I'm still in gaming rehab and it will be a while before I start to pick up again.

Sad bit is I upgraded my graphics card, then started playing WoW which really doesn't need it and haven't touched the modern games sat on the shelf.

I don't play that much lately. Like some others, I recently gave up the wow addiction, and before that I was regularly playing cs and cod in a clan. Nowadays I tend to watch tv-series, play a bit of poker, and every now and then a great game comes which takes up some time.

I play the odd bit of css/bf2/qw and still consider myself a gamer though, and build a pc to match.

I used to play games when i was at uni but now too busy to play.
