    Do you mean that the I/O should act as a "shield" for the electromagnetic fields created by the PC? That makes sense...

    spot on - metal shielding - like you get in shielded cables - the perforated stuff you get in the front windows of microwaves - and when you cover yourself in foil so the "VISITORS" can't see you.... - or is that just me
