G5 2007 for me.
G5 2007 for me.
2xMX1000s, a Microsoft IntelliMouse and a bog standard HP thing, all on one desk.
Love the MX1000s to bits, so much so, when I needed another mouse, thats what I bought (to complement the current one).
I use the Logitech MX Revolution, and even though it's a great mouse to work with and fits well in your hand, it isn't the best mouse for Games, sometimes i lose connection, have changed the usb dongel to front and rear of case and it's still the same problem.
The main fault playing games with it when it loses connection is i can't move the mouse Left or Right just Straight Ahead for a second or 2, and in online Shooters that's a lifetime.
I don't think it's a faulty mouse, i just think it's not a gaming mouse, you can't beat a corded mouse.
I use the G15Keyboard and that's corded, and the best keyboard for games in my opinion, could do with an updated G15 though.

I'd say it was faulty. There's certainly something interfering with it at the very least. My old MX900 used to lose connection briefly, but my MX Revo has never once done it. My dongle is stuck around the back of my monitor in a tiny little recess, so I can't imagine I have any better range than you do.
I'll say it again, I just love mine. It's the epitome of the deluxe peripheral. The whole feel it just awesome. The dual-function wheel is also surprisingly useful. I can't even say it's bad for games. I've never noticed any lag whatsoever in the few times I bring out HL2 or CS:S, but then I'm not a hardcore gamer, so others more into may notice a slight lag.
Cheers for everyones input, looked at the MX Revolution and it looks cool but then found that our IT manager had one, tried it and then really liked it!! So now im stuck between the MX1000 and the Revo.
Thankfully I can get it on office expenses so I need receipts and that so thanks for the offer but gonna get it from an e-tailer...
Another vote for the Logitech trackball - have them on all my PCs.

I have been using my mx510 for a long time now. First time I switched to this mouse from standard mouse, I immediately noticed a big improvement in cursor movement accuracy but moving from 800dpi to 1600 or even 2000 ,3200 mouse makes world of difference too? Or is it just a overkill?
MX518 here too. Great mouse. But I'm not a FPS gamer, so I can't speak for that side of things.

Hear hear! I love my MX1000 but it is getting old and it has a random "double clickey" time every month where it inteprets one of my single clicks as a double click!
It is VERY annoying. I'd quite like an MX Revolution to replace it but its a bit pricy for me atm. Whatever I get next will deffo be wireless. I don't really game that much apart from FM07 so a wireless will suit me fine and keep my desk nice and tidy.
All about the razer diamondback
Used Kensington Turbo-Mice (Trackball) for ages (PS/2 then USB versions) until it finally died (<cof> murdered <cof> during a BF2142 session .....). Tried a Logitech Trackman (Cordless Trackball) but found them as responsive as a pregnant whale. Moved onto the Microsoft Habu, but just didn't like it (felt like I had my hand in a bowl of treacle.. whatever takes your fancy I guess!)
Swapped for a Saitek GM3200now, which I'm loving! The 3200 dpi mode is awesome in BF turret guns, and the 800 dpi mode is great for MMORPGs.

Logitech MX 1000 Laser
Best mouse I have had so far.
I like the fact that you can turn it off as well as having a charging station.
Not forgetting its also a great mouse to use
at work anyway its actually not bad at all for £2something
