OK now last bit of info needed

Have you ever noticed that every lab test you read comes to a differnet conclusion. One site that finds something excellant another slates.

To this end can I grab a bit of help. I have bought everything for my new build apart from Motherboard and CPU Cooler and memory.

Need for GB good quality overclockable memory - OCZ Reaper maybe
Quad core Motherboard was thinking - Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35
Cooler - Thermalright Ultra-120 EXTREME (although out of stock most places)

    P.S.

If anyone is interested Overclockers were doing what I think is a good deal on Vista Home Premium Retail for £117
    Specs:

    Q6600 G0, Thermalright Ultra 120, ABIT IP35 PRO, 4GB Corsair DDR2, Trusty old Tagan 480u, BFG 8800 GTS 512, Samsung F1 750 GB.

What are the other components? If it's a Q6600 there is really very little need for great overclocking RAM as PC6400 will hapily run a Q6600 at 3.6GHz before being overclocked itself.

If you can grab it while it's their (or at least add it to you basket ) scan are selling the abit IP-35 pro for £78 on today only (in the supersavers) which is a steal, every bit as good as the P5K deluxe just without the wifi.

The EXTREME's have been out of stock everywhere for some time now, You could use the scythe towers, ninja/mine/infinity. The Thermalright Ultima 90 or on scan look at the xigmatec towers which are very close to the extreme's performace for almost half the price and come with a decent fan (needed to undervolt slightly if you want it silent though)

Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

Thanks. The Abit sounds like a bargain. Any particualr RAM brands good at the moment? I have always had corsair.

If they have never let you down then I'd stick with it, again in the super savers section there is a 4GB kit for £56 You could get some with tighter timings but you probably wouldn't notice any real difference.

Spending a bit more at OCUK would get you these, which would almost certainly overclock really well if necessary and you get funky red led's
