    Colour Laser Printer

    Hi All

anyone with a suggestion for a colour laser printer for home-office use? I don't need it for photo printing (have an Epson for that) rather business documents - was looking at this

    Re: Colour Laser Printer

If it is for documents, why bother with a colour printer? Maybe it's worth paying the difference for a faster mono?

Fair point but I will need to have the ability to print in colour for presentations etc. My Epson (2100) is strictly a photo printer and very slow

    Re: Colour Laser Printer

It would make more sense to buy a Canon for colour printing and a laser for documents in that case.
Colour from laser printers is poor compared to normal inkjet. If you are doing anything other than large blocks of colour, it just don't make sense.
I dont know what the costs are like now, but colour laser toner also used to be very expensive.

    Re: Colour Laser Printer

The kyocera range are good http://www.printerbase.co.uk/acatalo...-printers.html not cheap, but the running costs are quite low. The C5025 has lower running costs than the C5015,
Colour output is good - although not on a par with a photo printer, an A4 print is actually surprisingly good!

    Re: Colour Laser Printer

They are a fair few quid, but if you want colour for business you can't beat the Xerox Phaser. Also cost very little in consumables, unlike Colour Lasers...

Don't be tempted with the Dell colour laser printers - they're complete rubbish, and cheap for a good reason.

    Re: Colour Laser Printer

I think having a colour laser is pretty useful, the colour output may not be good for photos but the colour
output for diagrams, graphs, road maps etc is excellent. In my opinion they come out better from a
laser on normal paper than inkjets.

Just a pity they are expensive.
