Question for you all. I don't suppose anyone knows a company who make green back-lit keyboards?
Plently make blue ones, Razer, Saitek etc... infact Saiteks new ones also come in red and purple.... but no green!
Can anyone point me to a decent green one? I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for a good keyboard!

No idea how good they are but they're certainly expensive (even with the current exchange rate)

It's abit too much, espically given it's an unknown brand and will have a US layout on it!
what about getting a saitek and swapping out the LED's for green ones?
Would it be possible to just change the colour that shines through, by using coloured plastic? If you could find a strip of transparent, dark green, plastic, and open the keyboard somehow, you could probably glue to the plastic to the surface where the light shines through.
I did that with my case, although its easier to get access to the light panel on my case.
I think that's the only way to do it. I wonder if anyone has this keyboard and knows if this is possible.Originally Posted by Steve B

I had thought about doing that.... but I'd imagine the keyboards use surface mounted LED's and would need a VERY steady hand!!

It must depend on the keyboard. If the LED's are exposed and are just fitted into little holes (like the Num Lock etc.. on my keyboard), then replacing them must be the only option.
But if theres a keyboard out there where the LED's are inside, and the light shines through a coloured plastic thing, then you should be able to put something in between. Other than that, I have no idea. I do remember reading about a keyboard that had different coloured LED's and you could choose which colour you wanted it to use by just pressing a button.. But im pretty sure it was about a hundred quid.
Aye the sheet idea may work depending on how the Saitek's are made... will have to investigate! Nice idea Acrobat.
I think they one you're thinking of is the Saitek II - it doesn't go green though!
they don't do green but do red/blue/purple Merc Stealth not released until octoberish time. good boards..i have the original merc and may change to this as the dark is becoming a real pain in the arse.
