A relative is upgrading so that his rig becomes a C2D E6750 + 8800GTS (only one HDD + 1 DVD drive, nothing flash), will this PSU be up to the job ?...

Your choice is ok, but i would really, really reccomend the £14 extra for a corsair HX520w
Yeah, I prefer the Corsair as well, I don't know if I can get him to spend the extra £14 though but it will be worth it for the fact that after it's built he wont get odd quirks and come running to me :D

Pob, good suggestions but it has to be from Scan as placing an order for the whole upgrade from them tonight.
Well if it has to come frome scan and you're limited to £50 then it's the 430w tagan or 400w enermax.
Not sure on the power pull of the 8800GTS :/

Tagans are great PSU's, but for the extra 14 smackers, the Corsair is a better buy in this situation :)
