where to find I/O shields? (I'm not asking for bargains :))

Following my thread of yesterday http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=11601, and knowing that this is gonna be a very, very long shot. Someone knows of a similar place to this http://america.hongfaith.com/Motherb...i_o_shield.htm from which I could buy a generic I/O shield for my 7n400 Pro2 mobo in the UK???

I might be able to help out and send you one for Free if i've got one in my spares section at work, Find me a layout of the back of your computer and i'll have a look for you.

A few measurements of the size of the whole too and i'll see what I can do.

Thanks a lot Tig. The layout is identical to the one you can see here http://america.hongfaith.com/Motherb...hield%20P4.htm
And as for the measures I don't know, that information doesn' come in the manual but I guess they will be standard ones. Thanks again for having a look

Sadly then I haven't got anything to match, its the right hand side thats the issue, It looks like 2*USB and maybe a network port with integrated sound. I've not got anything to match that side of the setup i'm afraid.

I've found that a polite begging e-mail to the UK branch of the motherboard manufacturer can often yield good results in these situations

I did that this morning but TBH I don't really expect an answer, although you will be the second one to know it

It was the nice guys at ABIT UK that sorted me out when I broke the s478 plastic retention bracket thingy on my old BD7 so you never know.
