Asus P5K wont post when i set AI overclocking to manual

im new here so hello everyone,
just bought P5K and Q6600 today and i was trying to overclock from the bios but when i set AI overclcoking to manual and restart the system wouldnt post even when i set AI overclocking to manual without changing any other values? can someone please tell me what is going on?

i did have a look but i cant solve this,the board would work if i switch the overclocking option in the bios into manual

yea, it tried everything in your guide exactly(great guide BTW) but i had no post and then i tried just to set AI TO manual and i had the same issue

Please post all your current bios settings and the ones you tried when it wouldnt post.

my current bios setting is all default if i change anything in AI screen the pc wont post! and the only way is to reset the jumper.

first post hello all!

i also have a p5k deluxe... mine won't boot in dual channel but single channel ok...

i'm having a look through that awesome guide now, will report back if settings the bios config manually helped

I too have this board and a Q6600. I had all sorts of POST problems until I did some research and found that the Q6600 is only supported on the Asus P5k Deluxe from BIOS v404 onwards. My motherboard shipped with v202 BIOS, hence the problems. Now I am on 404 everything works fine.
