    Bite the bullet time !!!

    Well folks its that time, but would like bit of help chosing bits ?? thanks in advance


    case - sonata 3
    cpu-q6600
    h/drive -500gig samsung

    m/board ?? help dont think i will o/clock but ???
    g/card ?? 1950pro ??
    memory ?? 2 gig ??

    Do gaming/ photoshop/ net

    will case/psu be big enough for this ??

    say your budget, do you need a monitor? what OS? not a fan of vista for example? and it will be much easier to 'choose' bits for you dood

    Hi, budget is bout £700-800 ish but that would have to include monitor, want to run Xp for now but maybe Visata at a later date

    Well I'm not a great fan of the stock cooler, but a scythe mine, acrtic freezer7 Pro or Akasa AK-965 (basically a Acf7p copy) would be fine, esp if no extreem overclocks are involved.
    They'll be fine for running stock speeds or a small overclock.

    And currently only avalible from OcUK who I currently refuse to give any funding too

    Also twice the price of a Acf7p which can keep my P4 D at 35c idel and that's hardley the coolest of chips

    Not that the thermalright Ultima90i a bad choise, if scan get any in I'll buy one

    The reason Overclockers normally have stuff in earlier than anyone is that they preorder by months. Scan especially only like to take on products that they know once they sell their current batch they can get more when they want it.

    Thanks to u all Nightshadows spec is cool, i have Xp and want bigger h/drive so may get the samsung 500 gig, is all this stuff compatible ??? do i need a cooler ?? will it fit in that case ??

    i wouldnt buy anything else from OCUK if my rig depended on it.
    im actually having trouble finding a nice new case i want one without anything like a window or front door on it but summit that looks sexy without costing the earth.
    is the abit the best for the buck for this new quad? is the asus one any better?

    Been thinking am using 21" ctr monitor (sony trinitron) would lcd monitor be any better ??? and thinking would 4 gig ram be worth it to ?? ??
