I want to buy a desktop-size mouse to use with a laptop

But do all desktop mice have massive usb receivers? I like those tiny ones that come with the logitech mice:

i have big hands so i need full-size mice but dont want to carry around a big receiver

No, bluetooth is more than adequate for mice, it's capable of much higher data rates.

all RF mice have inherent noticeable latency, bluetooth is no different, it just has a standard protocol for interdevice communications.

Re: I want to buy a desktop-size mouse to use with a laptop

My Asus laptop came with a Logitec Bluetooth mouse. Its a pretty basic thing, model number M-RBB93. Probably just a simple OEM thing and not available retail.

    Works well though.

As for Bluetooth dongles, this is supposedly even smaller than the Logitec one. You could easiy just leave it in the USB port and forget about it.
