Whoa whoa whoa whoaaaa.
This is not my batman glass.
Anyway, I think staffsmike probably meant to link to the p5k dlx, not the p5k3 dlx. Unless you fancy 4GB more of DDR3
whoops.. although I can't see the P5K Deluxe.. it's early maybe i'm missing something lol
I think i will go with what ever is in stock when i can get it replaced. Prefereable asus.
Have you been able to swap out any components?
what exactly don't you understand?
You should be able to get it back to it's original state but as I said the P5K series is also known to do it under certain conditions.
You might want to look at abit's IP35 Pro as the uGuru chip seems to interfere with the way that this process runs & I don't think that I have ever seen a report of an uGuru equipped mobo doing it.
They will however, like other 965/P35 mobos stop & then restart on saving new BIOS settings.

My last 2 Pc's have done this, it starts for a second-shutsdown-then starts a second later. This was with a P5B-Deluxe and now the P5K-Deluxe. The very first time the board booted it never happened, I went straight into Bios to change settings to what they should be, and from then it does the double boot. I always thought it was normal and had to do with the Q-Fan getting a reading or something similar
No need to apologise - I don't claim to fully understand them either, just know that they exist, how they basically operate & what that affects/means in performance/oc terms.
Read http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29757 if you want more info from someone who does understand them more fully.
You could think of them in terms of gears in a car where you pick the best gear for the road conditions.
What I think happens (& if anyone truly knows please speak up) is that the system essentially starts at 1 low setting/strap & then "switches gear" to the more appropriate strap. Normally this is a seamless change due to some clever BIOS work but if something isn't running quite perfectly then it can become apparent.

Thanks!
I got an RMA for the MB, CPU and 4gigs of ram. Might as well get it all checked if its going in.
