asus p5k bios and drivers help!!

Hi,
i am getting an asus p5k, and so far have decided not to buy a floppy drive. However, some people say that you need them to make a bootable disk or something, and that you need one to update bios and drivers???

if your using windows XP you may need a floppy for a drivers disk at install, vista, you don't

There's a CD ISO available that I use.

Vista doesn't need any extra drivers, they are built in and as Ikonia says, a USB drive works fine for updating the bios.

I flashed the BIOS on my p5k-e with a USB stick, worked fine. Didn't have to plug in a floppy at all,

I flashed my BIOS to 0503 using a USB stick. I did notice a couple of odd things with this edition though. The speed of Fan 2 in PC Probe is very obviously not right and every so often the bootup halts due to a failed overclock (even though I have not overclocked this rig yet). I think there is a modified version of 0503 knocking about the Net but I'll put up with it until a solution appears on the Asus site. Just a heads up in case paranoia sets in.
