    Question Mixing pairs of DDR2

    Is it OK ?
I will have 2 x 1GB Corsair, and 2 x 1GB Geil DDR2 in my Vista PC by the end of this week coming - as far as I know, it'll be fine, it'll just run at lowest SPD setting right ?
    Any advice appreciated.....

    Cheers

Yup, it's alright. All the RAM will just run at the same speed as the slowest bit of RAM.

    Re: Mixing pairs of DDR2

The answer is probably. Some RAM does not get on with some motherboards, and sometimes some RAM doesn't get on well with another - e.g. if they don't want the same voltage you could have stability problems.

Its actually the motherboard not getting on with the RAM Other than that, there is no other factors (RAM is dumb, it has no controller on it, its all done external to it)
A BIOS update will fix most of these issues if they happen
