    Motherboard/CPU/Heatsink compatibility question

    Greetings all,

I was wondering if any of you have experienced, or have heard of, difficulties when setting up the Thermalright XP-120 heatsink on a ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboard?
When I put it on before it felt very tight on the CPU, and shortly afterwards I found out that my CPU no longer worked.
The Thermalright compatibility page says that it should be fine, but I'm still a bit suspicious, so any confirmation/dismissal from you guys would be appreciated.

Just incase anyone else has this problem in the future and sees this thread: it went in a lot more smoothly and I'm currently using my PC with the HS installed.

Your CPU didn't get squished then? The cooler just wasn't on 100%?

    Re: Motherboard/CPU/Heatsink compatibility question

I dunno, the cooler would have definitely been on 100% last time. When I turned my PC on before it just didn't do anything, did the usual switch around of components to check them, then tried another CPU and everything worked. Ah well, in the past now, heh.
