Please could anyone using the stated board, list in as much detail as possible, the RAM you are currently using with it, and if it works correctly. I have decided to keep the MSI board and ditch the RAM, but i dont want to end up with some more RAM which dosn't work correctly with this board.

Thanks Panzer, but i have already seen this, I just dont believe it
I just want to hear from some people who know certain RAM is working for them. Rather than a list which has been semi-bodged togethor. The fact that it even starts with corsair RAM, when they have also said that corsair ram dosn't work right with, really perturbs me.

Also, the fact that the guy who has put the list togethor, suposedly experienced in the board, is using an Asus A7N8X !! further reduces my faith in the list.

I've got a friend with that board and he's using 2*256 Crucial PC2700 in it and that's working fine - he's also using the onboard video which is well known to be picky about RAM you use with it. Don't know what timings but he's definitely running sync at 166 FSB.

well I have had lots of RAM probs with it, but its mainly due to the dodgy rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe that my local comp shop sells :/

however i have now managed to sell off my old ram and ive got 2x512 Crucial DDR PC 2700 running in dual channel and it runs like a dream Crucial are always great cos even if the ram decides to not work, they will refund your money

The problem is not limited to the MSI board, but to all nforce 2 chipsets, its just that some companies have fixed the fault in their bios and others havnt :/

I think im gonna order 2 x 256Mb PC-3200 Crucial RAM, it says CL3, but it should have no problems running at PC-2700 at CL2.5 should ? Im spending the extra £5, instead of getting PC-2700 so that i shouldn't have any probs if i decided to overclock the CPU long term. Do you think the PC-3200 is just the same as PC-2700 set with lower RAM timings, and obvioulsy tested ata higher speed ?

Also, i have never ordered from Crucial before. They say there is a 30 day full money back garantee. Is that actualy true ? If i spend £ 80 on 2 sticks of RAM, and they give me free P&P, do i actualyget £80 back ? or is a certain amount deducted from the refund to cover P&P and restocking charges ?

from what i've heard from other msi users, mushkin memory seems to the most reliable with the msi boards

yea, i heard that too, but i dont want to spend the money on it, too much, im trying to stick to the certified memory list

try some generic samsung memory then
i have some and dont get problems with it

My mate has this board and is using a 512MB stick of Crucial PC2700...Works great.

Well i was all set to order 2 sticks of Crucial 256 PC 3200 this morning, but I saw advertised 2 x 512Mb sticks of Samsung Original, 1 month old. Not too much more than the crucial was gonna cost, so i went for that instead . This stuff is actualy on the approved Nvidia memory list, so it better work !

Well i got my 2 x 512mb PC-2700 Samsung Original this morning and it works grrrreat !
Yay !
Now i just got to contend with the £100 i went over my PC upgrade budget
