    Lightbulb Transformers

    Does anyone know where you can buy Transformers, you know the type that are used for Switches and such, as the Plug/Transformer for my Switch is dying and I need a new one, except all the variable voltage ones don't give out enough Amps as they normally need a lot (this one is 800mA @ 3.3v DV).

    Basically I just need to know where I can find high mA output plus/transformer/things.

    RS; CPC; Maplins; Farnell; some electrical wholesalers.

    800ma is actually quite low, go for at least an amp to prevent repeat burn out.

    Actually, I think even Argos may do a multi pin DC PSU which can be configured to most things, take a look in the catalogue. If they do, obviously check current rating.

    farnell have the most. couldnt find any 3.3v ones though. you should be ok with a 5v @1A psu though, due to most electronics stuff have there own regulators inside, though 3.3v is a bit low for also having regulators inside :/

    this is hte closest i could find incase you dont want to risk it, http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/catalog/vi...?prodId=605372
    hope that link works, cos it looks like it might not :/
    heres the code anyway.... 605-372

    I agree, perhaps you should look at getting the "Optimus" model.

    I find it hard to believe that you won't be able to find a transformer of the right voltage capable of providing over 800mA. Just one thing - make sure the polarity on the DC connector is the same as the input for the device.
    PHP Code:

    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
