which cooler to get???

Hi,
i am getting core 2 duo e4300 and am going to overclock to 3.4GHZ i was going to go with the artic cooling freezer 7 pro but i want people say i could do better, i was thinking about the tuniq tower 120 but any other ideas will be helpful.

I highly recommend Thermaltake Big Typ VX. It may be a bit more difficult to fit in, but it does a much better job then other CPU coolers on the market.

I highly recommend Thermaltake Big Typ VX. It may be a bit more difficult to fit in, but it does a much better job then other CPU coolers on the market.

There are better, but for the £30 mark, it's about as good as you can get.

It really does sound like a typhoon on the max fan speed, lol. But below 1300 RPM it's VERY quiet.

The only thing that I don't like about the big typhoon is the design with it's weight.
I do like the idea of truning the pipes and fins through 90 degrees so the fan blows down through the cooler and on to the motherboard, also gives it loads of clearence from other components on the motherboard.
The problem in my mind comes from the shear weight of the thing, esp when you consider that almost all of that weight is consentrated a good distance from the motherboard.
not a problem it the motherboard is horisontal but when it's veritcal in most cases that's going to put additional strain on the top two holes and if you've not got it on tight enough could cause it to pull way from the cpu.

Tuniq Tower 120 is very very good, ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extream is also very very good i a tad better than the TT 120 by all accounts.

The weight thing is simply not an issue, unless maybe you are humping it about alot, as they have a strong mounting bracket underneath the motherboard.

I am incredibly happy with the ThermalTake BigTyp 120 VX in my Antec 900 case (though it is a little tough to fit). I have mine on smart control and it is incredibly silent, rarely has to go above 500rpm to keep it below 35degrees. I do wonder about its weight, but many coolers nowadays have very similar problems so I'm not that worried.

To be honest, with the airflow of the Antec 900, most coolers will do pretty well though.

The Scythe infinity is HUGE though, and overkill for an E4300. A Scythe Mine is more than adiquate.

Thanks alot to everyone who gave their ideas and thought, i think i will check out the thermal right big typhoon, i am a bit worried about the weight tho, i don't want it screwing up my motherboard!!
