Question KVM Swith Help Needed Please

I have a 2 port KVM switch setup at home which worked fine with my 2 machines. However since my new machine only has one PS2 port (Keyboard). I am in need of a solution on how to connect my new machine to the KVM.

    Current Setup.

The mouse is a USB mouse which uses a USB to PS2 connector in order to connect to switch.

I have a PS2 to usb connector which I have tried to plug into the USB of my motherboard and that does not pickup.

Is there a way to do this with my KVM setup. Thanks.

PS2/USB converters rarely play happy with PS2 KVMs. Would suggest you look for a USB KVM such as this

I've used cheap USB to PS/2 converters from eBay with success but TBH I've had some problems with my KVM box with losing the mouse when switching.

Belkin do a really nice USB version of their OmniView. I just bought a 4 port version which should arrive tomorrow.

I actually bought a USB cable set by mistake - I went for the PS/2 version instead. If you decide to go with the Belkin I could do you a good deal on a 1.8m USB cable set (& D-Sub & Audio).

I am using two of these one ps2 and one USB/ps2, I too have to say that the USB/PS2 device does cause some problems.
Slow and jerky mouse for instance or a non responsive keyboard at times.
