    Compatability check for older Equipment

    Hi Guys,

I am planning on updqating my MB, RAM and CPU along with an upgrade to Vista soon, and wondered if anyone can see any compatability issues with my older equipment.

    What im planning on buying:

    -Asus P5KE Wifi Mobo.
    -CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800),2GB (2x1GB) Ram
    -Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz 1066MHz) Socket 775 Processor

What I currently have is in my Sig below, Im hoping the case, PSU, IDE optical drive, SATA hard drive and graphics card will continue to be useful.

    Thanks for any help.

I forgot to mention that I'm not planning on tweaking the OC to the max to get everything out I can. If past experience is anything to go from I will just knock the speed up a bit for a quick gain, test that it remains stable and leave it.

Should all work - the one thing that caught me out on Vista with my old nForce4 board was the onboard sound. It BSOD my install (during installation) and turing it off (in the BIOS) got me through to the point where i could download non-buggered drivers from the web (and re-enable it). Vista's pretty easy to install (compared to XP) as it's got shedloads of drivers built in (and not all of them are *completely* bad).
