    Intel motherboard advice

    I have a Core 2 Duo E6600 which currently lives in an Asus P5B mobo (non-Wi Fi, non-Deluxe, just the basic model). I don't like this mobo for several reasons, such as the inability to recognise > 2Gb of RAM unless it's 667MHz or slower and the fact that if you want RAID you have to use one internal SATA port and the single eSATA port.

    Can anyone recommend a good, reliable S775 motherboard? It doesn't have to be an over-clockable enthusiast board and I'm not fussed about dual graphics cards but it does have to let me use all 4GB of my 800MHz DDR2 RAM*. An eSATA port would be nice but not essential.

    Cheers!

    * I know a 32-bit OS won't use all 4GB.

    Ideally you want something with ICH8R or ICH9R as imo the JMicron RAID is pants.
    Cheapest is probably something like the Gigabyte P35-DS3P which uses a PCI slot plate to route 2 of the internal SATA sockets to the rear.
    The abit IP35 Pro has 2 dedicated eSATA sockets on the rear via JMicron as well as the internal ICH9R sockets.

    MSI P55-GD80, i5 750
    abit A-S78H, Phenom 9750,
