    2.1 Speaker Advice

    Hello chaps/chapettes

I'm looking to get some new speakers, 2.1 only because of space constraints, but I dont know whats good and what isn't, I want to spend a max of £35/£40, because i'm cheap - although if you can convice me its worth it, I might go higher.

I have one further question, the speakers i'm using justnow are speakers that are with a CD player, and I guess the magnets in 'em are whats making my monitor colors look a bit funny (I know they are because shifting it closed makes it go funny), will dedicated PC Speakers do the same, or will the 2 treble/mid speakers not cause any interference and I should be ok if I keep the subwoofer away from the monitor?

    Cheer chaps/chapettes

    Logitech X 230's.

    Just bought some...utterly AWESOME!

Speakers are attractive, volume an on/off on one speaker, easily wall mountable (I will be) and teh sub is great, has own volume control...just great and substantial looking.

Sound is very nice and solid from base, and smooth and silky from the stereo speakers.

Really impressed...and I know a touch about these things, have very expensive speakers on my HiFi and Home Theatre setup.

Best thing is....£25 from Amazon or £40 from Arguuus!

Cool, I shall look at some reviews of those then.

I have a friend with those, they sounded pretty good when I listened to some stuff on them

I too have a set of these speakers and would definitely recommend them if you are after a 2.1 system

Nice sound from the 2 speakers on my desk and the sub underneath the desk still has a good input to the rest of the sound

    They work well for me

    Re: 2.1 Speaker Advice

I too am now looking to take out my 5.1 old Creative Megaworks speakers to free up some space in my room. I want to replace them with a decent 2.1 set.

Being me though, I have to complicate matters. I want a set of 2.1 speakers that allow me to connect my PC, my TV and my Xbox 360. Is there a 2.1 set that'll allow me to use multiple inputs?

these seem to have a fair few inputs.

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...roductID=78573

these have two standard jack inputs, so you could use one with a headphone jack splitter?

They can be found for £30 on amazon and were on a scan today only for £23.50 last week..i got some and they are very nice indeed

    Re: 2.1 Speaker Advice

Thanks for the links staffsMike, the Abit iDome set certainly meet the bill. I don't half find them hideous looking though lol! I'm in need of something with the connections that it offers, but smaller, half the price and better looking.

Crikey, don't ask for much do I?
