    Found Blitz Formulas in stock

I went to buy this yesterday from Yoyotech, but they f##ked up and didn't actually have any! Which is bol####

So the one motherboard i want, no other boards will do Abit don't give enough voltage, just don't like gigabyte, and the rest of the Asus boards all have fu###d SATA.

I've checked loads of places finally though i had found one with Advanced Tec, but when i went to call them with the number i got nowhere, give them a call, do you have any of the blitz motherboards in stock. answer, within a millisecond. 'No.' They guy obviously had no phone training, he never answered and said hello or told me if it was Advanced Technologies. So they won't ever get my services.

I've check eBay, ebuyer, micro direct, scan, overclockers uk,misco, and a load more, but haven't seen any

If you have a look here you'll see that for availability, it's listed as discontinued. Therefore, you'll be lucky to get any if most retailers (well the ones I've checked) are already out of stock. Unless you're after water cooling capabilities, it might be wise to see how the x38 boards pan out towards the end of the month anyway. They're supposed to retail for around the same price.

Re: Any one find Asus Blitz Formulas in stock?

Yea that's what i saw, thats why im so pi##ed off at Yoyotech, they're offering me a Striker instead but they have RAM and Quad core issues. And yes i was after the watercooling too. I could wait for X38, but i've been waiting ages as it is, my dad was just a git and didn't believe me when i said they were being discontinued so left in to the last minute now im stuck.

Plus the replacement for the Formula the Maximus, looks ugly as sin, the heat sink for the NB is stupid. (That's one reason i don't like Gigabyte) No need for huge heatsinks, when smaller ones do the job, or a waterblock does :S

    It's the performance that matters

I was in the same situation a few days ago when I found out the blitz was discontinued, guess I'll just wait for the X38

True, plus the one i have seen on Vadims site for pre-order has a waterblock, so i might get that, still looks like the heatsink stretches for miles for no reason as far as i can see anyway.

Re: Any one find Asus Blitz Formulas in stock?

I've got the formula and TBH am in 2 minds over it.

On one hand its a great overclocker and is very stable........on the other hand it has shutdown issues that are driving me mad (others on xtremesystems also confirmed they have the same issues).

Basically, when you shut down windows using the power switch, the entire pc hangs.....If you shut it down using windows shutdown it shuts down fine, powers off and then powers back on =/ It doesn't do it out of the box, but once it starts you seem to be stuck with the "feature"

Re: Any one find Asus Blitz Formulas in stock?

Strange issue, but if it powers off i then switch the PSU off so i should have any worries.

And i found some in stock

    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...tml?ASU-BLITZF
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=28228

Hopefully my dad will order one for me, well he best, don't really fancy waiting that long for this new pc...

If there are shut down issues ill just pull the power anyway, or asus will maybe do a BIOS update.

Re: Any one find Asus Blitz Formulas in stock?

I have gotten into the habit of switching off at the PSU once it starts the POST again.....

Hoping for a new BIOS myself.
