Curse You New Hardware!!!!

I thinking of a new build thanks to the recent intel price drop, but now that quad core is finally available at a reasonable price the new processors are on the horizon, along with the new geforce 9 series, is it worth the wait, or should I just go with an 8800gts and Q6600 GO
