What is it that you want to do with the RAM?

Good stuff, mine overclocks to pc8500 at 5-5-5-15
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-058-GL

Pretty much the best stuff you can get
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=8&subcat=813

But if you don't want to overclock there will be little gain having pc6400 ram and pc 5300 would be good

again ballistix pc5300 is probably the best

I'm not too sure yet, i am going to overclock my CPU using your guide clunk (nice work by the way) but I'm undecided about overclocking the ram yet.

Re: performance ram for asus p5k

I doubt you would need to overclock the ram if you bought pc6400.

The cpu probably wouldn't overclock higher than the RAM's stock speeds even with insane cooling.

Thats why I asked if what he wanted to do with it.

If its tweaking and messing around with dividers and generally getting the most out of it, the Ballistix is definitely the way to go.

Be aware though, that there arent very many real world applications where you will see a benefit from all the tweaking, its more a nerdy hobby thing

If you just want to overclock the CPU without the RAM being the limiting factor, then any PC2-6400+ RAM will do fine.

I got this Patriot for my P5K, and it's working great.

I plan to overclock soon, but with everything set to auto in the bios I've not had one problem, and it defaults to 2.2v.

Crucial is worth the extra few quid, just for the super fast RMA turnaround. My last one was posted tuesday morning, arrived back to me on thursday morning
