    Decisions, decisions...

    Which PC? : -

    Asus P5K3 deluxe/WiFi
    QX6850
    4GB Corsair DDR3 (1066Mhz)
    GTX8800 Ultra
    X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1
    500GB WD caviar
    700W Fortron Epsilon PSU
    64-bit Vista

    or

    Asus Striker Extreme
    QX6850
    4GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 (1066MHz)
    2 x 8800GTX (SLI)
    X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1
    500GB WD Caviar
    900W Fortron Epsilon PSU
    64-bit Vista

Looking to play next gen DX10 games like Crysis and beyond at 1600x1200 at full settings on a CRT monitor for at least the next 2-3 years. Also, Photoshop and Google Earth.

The top system is 150 quid cheaper but my priority is quality.

    Appreciate any thoughts.

Or wait a week or so & get an x38 board with at least 2 x16 pci-e slots. Definate support for crossfire, maybe support for sli. Asus & gigabyte & abit ahave all got new boards in the wings.

I noticed you are getting 4gb ram. I am currently researching components myself to build my own pc and what I am reading there is no point in using 4gb ram as it is not recognised fully on both 32bit and 64bit Vista.

It should be but for most people (if not all) it isn't. Do a google on it.

    Re: Decisions, decisions...

    Is SLI upgradeable?

64-bit vista can address 4gb ram and more.

    Thanks, Karl.
